Good to know
- What's included: Rods, tackle and bait — everything you need to fish except your licence.
- Fishing licence: Not included — licences must be bought online before your trip. Fisheries and Oceans Canada sells them on its site, and you can do it from your phone with a credit card.
- Meeting point: The Woods End Landing dock.
- Party size: Each charter boat takes up to 4 adults. One child of 15 or younger can usually come along as a fifth person. A bigger party books a second boat.
- Departure time: Arranged with your charter captain — usually 5:00 a.m. for a full day and 11:00 a.m. for a half day.
- Weather: The boat goes out in rain and in most storms. If the weather is so bad that the boat cannot go at all — which almost never happens — you usually get a full refund.
